
9-10-11-12 MAY 2024: NIZZA MONFERRATO TURNS BARBERA RED
During Nizza è Barbera, the town of Nizza Monferrato becomes a big wine capital, where wine lovers, can taste NIZZA D.O.C.G. and all the other Barbera D.O.C.G. and D.O.C. wines from Piedmont, face to face with the people who produce them!
2025 News:
- This year, Nizza è Barbera will start on Friday evening: live music, street food and tasting in all the city centre anche at the Barbera Forum.
- On Monday afternoon the Barbera Forum will be fully dedicated to all the operators of wine industry, free admission upon accreditation
- Operators of the wine sector will also have the chance to taste Nizza Docg historic vintages thanks to the collaboration with the “Associazione Produttori del Nizza” – Project funded Sviluppo Rurale Piemonte 2023-2027 Intervento SRG10 Promozione dei prodotti di qualità – regione.piemonte.it/svilupporurale – The responsabile consumption of alcoholic beverages is encouraged.

BARBERA FORUM
Get you glass and meet over than 70 local winemakers of the best Barbera D’Asti: you can taste more than 400 lables, included on the entrance ticket, the wines will be served directly by who produces them!
NEW: the wine tasting will be open already open Friday – Monday will be dedicated to operators of wine industry – free admission upon accreditation.




GUIDED TASTINGS AND OTHER EXPERIENCES
Join the special tastings and multisensory experiences of Nizza and Barbera, at Palazzo Crova – home to the Regional Enoteca of Nizza Monferrato – and at the Ex Chiesetta Trinità: they are true moments of in-depth exploration with industry experts. At Palazzo Crova, “The Scents of Barbera” is scheduled: an olfactory sensory experience with wine tasting, inside the Museum of Taste, by E.Events and Sommelier Ais Asti. The Nizza Producers Association instead offers a Masterclass dedicated to its women. Seats are limited, hurry to book your Enoculture moment!




THERE’S A PARTY IN TOWN
Spend a pleasant evening in Nizza Monferrato old town! The shops will be open and visitors can enjoy a range of local dishes and specialities as they stroll around town or sit comfortably in specially organised areas. Then there are the Wine Points – where over 100 different labels of Barbera d’Asti will be available for tasting, served by Sommeliers from the AIS and the streets will be filled with music and a party atmosphere. There’ll also be a chance to taste specialities prepared specially to celebrate our favourite red: have you ever tried Barbera ice-cream?

THE HOME OF BARBERA
At Palazzo Crova, the historical building surrounded by splendid gardens that is home of the Enoteca Regionale di Nizza, you can visit the Wine Shop and purchase the wines of our associate producers – as well as the Museo del Gusto, both of which will be open on the Saturday evening during Nizza è Barbera. You can also enjoy a delicious menu created to pair perfectly with Barbera d’Asti: lunch and dinner will both be served at the table, with the Barbera wines of our Producers available at the tasting tables, in the peaceful setting of the Ristorante Vineria la Signora in Rosso (lunch in the gardens and dinner in the indoor dining room).
